Data Engineer Job Description

The Data Engineer will join Launchmetrics’ Data Platform and Data Enrichment teams. These teams are responsible for making the company’s unified database accessible, reliable, usable, and capable of supporting enrichment activities across the organization.

The role involves working with a Databricks-based Lakehouse built using Delta Lake and AWS S3. The platform follows a Bronze, Silver and Gold architecture and supports data products including Discover, Genie and Delta Sharing.

The Data Engineer will contribute to data pipeline development, data architecture, reliability improvements and cross-team initiatives. The position also plays an important role in supporting customer retention, data reliability and the development of AI-based insights.

Key Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing batch and near-real-time data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks.
  • Working across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers of the data platform.
