Job Description
As a Council Cleaner, you will be responsible for providing consistent, high-quality cleaning services across Council facilities. Your work will help ensure workplaces, accommodation, public amenities, and other Council buildings remain clean, hygienic, and safe for employees, visitors, and the wider community.
This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of safe cleaning practices, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high cleaning standards.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning Council offices, workplaces, accommodation, and amenities.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Performing routine and detailed cleaning duties.
- Ensuring Council facilities remain safe and welcoming.
- Using cleaning products and chemicals safely.
- Maintaining sanitary conditions throughout Council properties.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Completing cleaning tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Supporting a safe and usable environment for staff and visitors.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of one year of practical experience in industrial cleaning procedures, techniques, and materials.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Class C Driver’s Licence is highly desirable but not mandatory.
