Job Responsibilities
As a Fast Food Cook, your daily duties will include:
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Prepare and cook pizzas, garlic bread, pasta, fries, sides, and other menu items according to company recipes.
- Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, portioning toppings, preparing dough, and making sauces.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment including pizza ovens, fryers, and food preparation tools.
- Ensure food is consistently prepared and presented according to company quality standards.
- Monitor cooking temperatures and cooking times.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, trays, and cooking equipment.
- Assist with stock rotation using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Report stock shortages and maintenance issues to management.
Food Safety and Compliance
- Follow all New Zealand food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Ensure food is correctly stored and properly labelled.
- Maintain a clean working environment at all times.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Customer Service Support
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
- Assist front-of-house staff whenever necessary.
Teamwork
