Job Description
As a Direct Support Worker, you will provide daily support to adults and children living in residential services. Working alongside a dedicated healthcare team, you will help residents develop new skills, promote independence, and enjoy meaningful, fulfilling lives.
This role involves providing compassionate care while encouraging residents to participate in everyday activities and achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Supporting adults and children with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injuries.
- Assisting residents with daily living activities.

Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Full FETAC Level 5 Healthcare qualification (or equivalent), or be currently working towards obtaining it (Essential).
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not essential.
- Full manual driving licence (Essential, as driving forms part of the role).
- Compassionate, caring, and patient personality.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Fluent English language skills (Essential).
Work Schedule
The position offers flexible working arrangements, including:
- 12-hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekend work
- Overtime opportunities
Both full-time, part-time, and relief contracts are available.
Salary
Successful candidates will receive:
- €32,000 – €34,639 per year, depending on experience.
