Security Officer Job Summary
As a Security Officer, you will maintain a strong security presence throughout the vessel while supervising security operations during gangway activities and onboard patrols. You will work closely with the Captain, Staff Captain, Deputy Security Officer, and security team to enforce the Ship Security Plan and ensure compliance with international maritime security regulations.
This is a leadership position responsible for protecting guests, crew, company assets, and the vessel while responding professionally to incidents and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Supervising gangway security operations
- Enforcing the Ship Security Plan
- Monitoring access points and vessel security
- Conducting regular security patrols
- Performing baggage and cargo screening
- Responding to security incidents and emergencies
- Supporting crowd management and conflict resolution
