Job Description

The Lead UI Designer will provide leadership for Pluxee’s global Design System. The role includes defining reusable UI components, maintaining design standards, supporting accessibility, and ensuring visual consistency across different digital products and markets.

The successful candidate will also manage and mentor UI Designers while working with Product Designers and Engineering teams to make sure designs are properly translated into digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the vision, governance, and continued development of the Pluxee Design System.

• Design and maintain reusable UI components, layouts, templates, and patterns.

• Ensure UI specifications are scalable and aligned with brand and accessibility standards.

• Encourage effective use of the Design System across teams and countries.

• Work with developers through tools such as Storybook or Zeroheight.

• Translate Pluxee’s brand identity into user interface components.

• Create and document interaction principles and micro interactions.

• Produce detailed design assets for desktop and mobile platforms.

• Support consistency in typography, color theory, composition, and visual language.

• Manage and mentor UI Designers within the team.

• Coach Product Designers on the effective use of the Design System.

• Collaborate with Lead and Principal Designers to maintain consistency between UX and UI.

• Partner with Engineering teams on UI specifications and front end output.

• Participate in Agile activities and help align UI work with sprint and PI priorities.

• Promote a strong feedback culture and design maturity across product teams.

• Integrate accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 and ADA into component design.

• Identify usability problems and develop improved UI solutions.

• Keep up with UI trends, tools, and emerging technologies.

• Monitor feedback, adoption, and usage metrics to improve UI assets and processes.

Key Deliverables

The Lead UI Designer will contribute to and oversee deliverables such as:

• Design System components, tokens, patterns, and variants

• UI specifications for Engineering teams

• Icons, illustrations, and motion design assets

Qualifications and Requirements
